Comments: I have been treated for 2 separate shoulder rotator cuff tears (left and right) by Dr Norberg who I chose because his surgical practice is limited to shoulders and elbows. 8 years ago I was examined and it was determined I had a full thickness tear of my left rotator cuff. Dr Norberg recommended to try physical therapy and wait on surgery. I did and happy to say I have full function and no pain and no surgery. Fast forward to 2 years ago and I was having pain with my R shoulder. This time the tear was more extensive and Dr Norberg advised repair surgery would be needed or eventually I would need a shoulder replacement. Now one year post-op rotator cuff repair I am very pleased to say my R shoulder is 100% pain free with full function and I am able to play competitive tennis which I love. I give my fullest recommendation to see Dr Norberg if you have shoulder problems. He is conservative from a surgical standpoint and will only recommend surgery if needed.
